Uniwater, today consisting of 13 companies in Sweden, Norway and Finland, today announced the acquisition of Lauridsen, one of Denmark’s leading suppliers of components, technical solutions and consultancy services within water and wastewater infrastructure. This acquisition strengthens Uniwater’s presence in the Nordic region but also marks Uniwater’s first expansion into Central Europe, as Lauridsen has both sales and manufacturing operations on the Polish market.
– Lauridsen has a strong customer base, skilled co-workers and a strong offering. They also distinguish themselves through innovation, something that the entire group can benefit from. We see great development opportunities together with Lauridsen.
Carl Berglund, Business Area Director at Uniwater.
In the acquisition, Uniwater has acquired all shares in Lauridsen Handel & Import A/S, Lauridsen Rørteknik A/S and Lauridsen Solutions PL Sp z.o.o. Lauridsen is now a part of the Uniwater group, sharing resources, competence, and opportunities with all group companies, but maintain the strong Lauridsen brand in both Denmark and Poland.
Leading Lauridsen for almost 30 years has been an incredible journey. It’s been a collaborative effort, involving not just the colleagues but also our family. The time is right to hand over the reins, and I’m confident that the company will flourish in its new phase. Selling the business was a collective family decision. Our discussions with Uniwater have been positive, and they’ve shown great respect towards both us and our colleagues. Moreover, we have a shared vision that we’re excited to bring to life together,
CEO Niels Arne Lauridsen
